Barry Downes thank you for living with me and falling in love with me. Sam,Madi and Lynsey thank you for being the best Scottish friends ever. Working with me, living with me, dealing with mine and barrys domestics, and for generally just being babes!

Rattle and Hum I miss you and all my chums there. Best restaurant/bar ever in Cairns.

Now I'm home, skint, jobless, carless and boyfriendless everything feels like I've never been away. If it wasn't for having so many friends and a boyfriend out there I think it would feel like a distant memory!

4 sleeps

Well I've missed a week or so blogging so il fill you all in on the adventures weve had.

We arrived in Kho Lak for 6 days the hotel was great more of a resort though unlike Chiang mai.
We sunbathed for our first two days and had dinner around the hotel because we couldn't be bothered to do much else. And we thought that it was tiny with like 4 restaurants outside the hotel, mother was too impressed like you could imagine.

Me, mum and flo went on a elephant trek and bamboo raft the next day which was great fun but I wasn't to keen on the elephant thing, they were treated great like yes I know everyone had told me but I had seen amazing nature ones in Chiang mai so I thought it would be like that but it wasn't. :( sounds strange and very stupid, surprise! But on the elephant oh my friggin god you are high up!!!!! Alot higher than you would think. The men we had in charge of the elephants where ass holes and mine and flos one kept hitting the elephant so I had a word with him, he soon stopped :) I got a great picture sat on the elephants head :) they are such beautiful creatures I wanted to take one home but mum wasn't to sure saying it wouldn't fit I'm my bag and Elvis was enough to deal with.
The bamboo rafting was fun. Mum got soaked we don't really no why but of course it was her raft that was broken not her just being kack handed!
We later on found out that kho lak wasn't just where we we're staying but a huge town about 10 minutes away lol so we went there for dinner that night, wanted to say great dinner but I wouldn't no because it didn't stay down for long. We all fell disgustingly ill that night and felt like crap for the next 2 days.
We missed our dicing and snorkelling trip because we couldn't get out of bed.
kho lak was fun but I don't think I'd go back.

We arrived in Ao Nang which is Krabi. Our hotel is amazing! Truly beautiful and the staff our so kind. I think I'm going to bring one of them home with me :) or a Thai child I really want a Thai baby they are so gorgeous :)

We sunbathed and got our bearings the first day. The next day was full on pact with things as we went to Phi Phi island and lots of others. It was so much fun :) snorkelling, posing on the beach that Leo himself has stood on :)
The speed boat was full and then we picked up 7 others. A fantastic gay group and 2 girls which were extremely drunk/ hungover from the night before which we soon after realised where from Brighton. We had the best day with them, SO much fun. Amazing pictures of the beaches and island. phi Phi is like something you never seen before!

We went to a beach the next day which nothing on expect a few hotels. It was SO hot like indescribable. Mum, flo and nan moaned for about 2 hours about how hot they were, there was no shade, mum and flo got stung my jelly fish APPARENTLY and then decided to leave and come back to the hotel. I stayed and got an amazing tan :) and being on my own for 2 hours was great, first time in 3 weeks :) love my family but wow!

2 days left one round the pool which is today and tomorrow me and flo are going canoeing around the island for half a day :) dead excited.

We leave early Friday morning flying back to Bangkok for the afternoon and following day. We are SHOPPING! SHOPPING! SHOPPING! I can't wait :) seen some bargains since I've been out here of course and now it's time to get them.

Our flight is early Sunday morning like 1 am so we have to check in at like 11pm which is great because my visa runs out Sunday so I need to get out the country asap.

We arrive home Sunday mid day English time. My adventure stops there which is great upsetting and also so exciting because I'm so excited to see everyone!

See you all soon. Hope england isn't snowing anymore! Because I am not covering up this banging tan I have from being in the sun all these months.

Chiang Mai with the Barnards

We arrived after a 14hr train journey into Chiang mai station and was driving to a beautiful hotel called the Rimping Hotel.
We had a family room, much to my pleasure :) sharing a bed with my sister is always what I want when I haven't seen her for 10 months.

We arrived early so we just sun bathed by the pool and got our tans going again. The sun was boiling and mother burnt her forehead...very fun I must say.
We walked around the night Market in the evening looking what they had to offer and just like everywhere in Thailand it was full of crap.

On our 2nd day we went a huge temple on the top of the mountain 15km from the city called Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. It had lots of stairs so we got a lift up and walked the stairs down, yes I know no one is surprised.
We also went to Chiang Mai Zoo that day and saw Panda's which was actually amazingggggggg. I realised that I had never seen one before and there is only like 35 left in the world :( also lots of other animals, lots of pictures to upload.

Friday we walked around the old city where I had stayed previous when I went to Chiang Mai on the tour. I showed them everything I saw and took them to a really nice juice bar, obviously I didn't drink anything. We booked mum and flo's tattoos for that evening and went back that night to get them done and went back to a lovely restaurant by our hotel called Riverside, with live music and amazing tomato soup...yes I eat soup now :)

Saturday came round quick and I realised that my visa ran out on the Sunday so we had to do a 10hr trip up to Chiang Rai to see long neck tribes, the White temple and went to the Burma border to get another stamp for my following 2 weeks. Arriving back about 9pm that evening we were knackered and just had dinner in the hotel.

Our last day was spent around the pool again, I think I got sun stroke because I was all faint and dizzy that evening. We went to the Sunday Market which was nice and I got a Marc Jacobs make up bag :) of course the original :)

11am check out flying to Phuket and taxing to Khao Lak, we arrived around 5pm to another lovely hotel bit this time separate rooms. I'm still sharing with the smelly one but life goes on. Let's see what these 6 days brings us.

No longer a backpacker

It's official moved from dorms to bed and breakfast to now in 5* hotels :) 3 weeks of bliss :) think it's about after living with no less than 6 people at a time :)

Arrived after the taxi driver got lost to many times to count. Glass doors opened for me, bags taken from my hands and escorted to my room on the 7th floor.

The bell boy walked out and I started jumping on the ridiculously large double bed :)

Decided to go for a wander around because I haven't a clue where in Bangkok I am. Ended up walking with tourist then being the only White person or just person in sight. Yes I ended up getting very lost and having to ask people how to get back to my hotel.

Was going to swimming on the rooftop pool but it started to rain :( yet again, always raining in Bangkok. So now I'm laying in bed watching tv :) just had a long skype with my boyfriend, he know wishes he had come Asia with me. Not to long and il see him again :)

Looking forward to everyone arriving tomorrow so the adventures can start :)

Stray adventure

Where do I start? This 9 day trip was amazingggggg :)

It all started at the Bangkok office meeting everyone and going to the train station for our train the Chiangmai. Everyone I went with were amazing complete mix of ages which made it so funny :) I made friends with an Ozzy couple straight away and we decided to share a room that night in Sukothai which was our first stop before Chiangmai.

The train was SOMETHING else that's for sure. Right I think it's like100 baht more, get a sleep on the train because OMG that journey is long and uncomfortable and we only travelled half way :) we arrived in Sukothai was is a little town which used to be the capital of Thailand. There wasn't much to do there but we all hired bikes and rode round a historic park. It's beautiful I think everyone else enjoyed it a little too much because me riding a bike is something to see, rode into a Tuk Tuk more than 1 time.

After waking up we went to chiang mai but now on bus that was also an experience because it was over booked so we all had to shit on the floor in the aisle :) you have to love Asia health and safety?!!!! I think not. After 12hrs combined over the last 2 days we arrived in Chiangmai in the evening just in time for us to walk around and find cheap accommodation, it back fired because it was Chinese new years eve....busy!!!! So we found a place just for 1 night and went out and got wasted....first experience of a bucket :) fun experience to say the least.
This was our own and only free day so we explored the city, went to a female prison and got a Thai massage sounds strange but so interesting! That night we moved into a hostel me and the couple this is, Elle and Shane. We met a lovely Thai girl which was great because she took us for dinner and showed us things you would see as a tourist. I also treated myself and got a tattoo :) safe mum I promise!

We then travelled another 6 hours to the White temple which I have beautiful pictures of already on facebook. You had to be covered to temples so that why I am dressed in White sheet because my short shorts and singlet was that great a look. After the 6 hours we arrived at a Chiang Kong which is the village in Thai by the river which is the border to Laos. Shane and Elle got horrific food poisoning that night so I can't say sleep was fab but I did feel awful for them. By the way yes I am eating Thai food but keeping it simple so touch wood I haven't been ill yet.

Crossed the river the next morning in a slow boat and 2 minutes later we were in Laos I no amazing right :) we had to sort everything out with our visa which took a while but then we walked to our big orange bus for the first time :)
That day we visited a hill tribe which was prob one of my fav things it was so interesting to see :) rocked at a Chinese disco and got massages.

We entered Luang Prabang about 4 that afternoon. It was a beautiful place :) me and Elle went to the street Market where there were beautiful things. I got some comfy pants but really want to get a rucksack and bed cover before I return home.that night we went to an amazing bar called Utopia :) famous for the view, it over looked the river. I met the next lot of people I would be sharing the bus with because my old bus was hopping off but I didn't have time.

Early start to Vang Vieng that morning :( this is where I had choosing to do my 4 day hop of. We arrived at 2pm and checked into hostels I stayed alone because I found a cheap place called Spicy Laos. By 3pm we were in the bars on the river!!! Bring on tubing!!!! That's where my memory stops I haven't a clue what happened but I know I'm still alive just. Got lumps and bumps but hey stuff happens when your having fun :)
Woke up hanging I felt awful. Awful sleep, bitten to death had the person next to me be sick in the night and the hostel was horrid please no one stay there. So after this I decided I didnt want to live like I was in Magaluf for 4 days and got back on the bus. Yes hilarious I know but I was too hungover for it all.

I'm now sat in Bangkok waiting to check into my hostel. After a 10hr over night bus sharing a seat because they over booked AGAIN I am shattered and just want to go sleep. Covered in dirt in clothes from yesterday hair on top of head and haven't eat in 2 days o Asia I love you :)

Amazing trip just glad I got it all out the way before the fam arrive! Bet the next 3 weeks are going to be a little different!
See you Sunday mum

See you in a few weeks England

Not so down under anymore. Bangkok

The flight was great the food was AMAZING and the old fat women sitting next to me was a pain in the ass!

I arrived in kho San road at 2 am there was A lot of drunk lady boys and I knew I had landed in the right place. My taxi literally just threw me out the taxi I didn't have a clue where my hostel was so just broke down the middle of the road with men asking if I wanted to get in their Tuk Tuk all I wanted was my mum lol
I found a very nice English speaking boy that after 15 mins of walking around showed me where my hostel was...2 seconds round the corner to where I got dropped! FML!

I walked into where I thought was a palace, no it was my hostel honestly one of the most beautiful things ever! Lucky the lights in my room weren't off and I found my way to my bed through the 22 in my room. Yes 22 people in a room sound bad but I only ever see the person underneath me.

I met some amazing people the next day and we all did a tourist day out and went to the grand palace, it was amazinggggg! I ate PadThai that night and felt very cultured. O was supposed to go to the Thai night market that night but fell asleep very earlier, I think my Malaria tablets are sending me a bit loopy!

I did lots of bartering today and brought a few bit and bobs, packed for my trip to Loas to or row and am just this moment watch Twilight at the hostel...no one is impressed!

For dinner tonight I had garlic chicken with rice, it cost me 25baht which is about 50p...AMAZING!

Up at 5.45 tomorrow to set of on my Laos adventure. Very excited!!!!

Will blog again soon!!!!!!

Sydney babyyyyyy

Sydney in a few words. Epic, true love, hens, lols and clothes.

I landed to be greeted by my beautiful boyfriend which was very strange but nice, not seeing him for 3 weeks was a lot harder than anticipated. I gate crashed the girls pad much to there disgust.

I felt like a I had seen the whole of Sydney in 1 day, when I say this I mean I saw the harbour bridge and the opera house!!!!
I walked a lot, window shopped ALOT, went to Sydney aquarium, ate Chinese food and got FAT!!!!! Yea living with the girls again made me gain about 300 dress sizes lol yes my boyfriend noticed and yes he didn't mind telling me....o the love! Cruel to be kind ey!

Sydney was beautiful and I would go back anyway I just go there for a longer time because you can't live there without a job!

Leaving was one of the hardest things ever! I was very late for my check in because yes well that's just standard me and Barry didn't help in any shape or form! I was upgrading to business class and it was truly one of the best experiences :) I had a bed yes a bed on a plane!!!!!!!

On to my next adventure! Thailand here I come!
